A qualified banker (1990), he initially worked in the credit sector, then – also during his business studies – in corporate development, and most recently as managing director of a financial services provider at major German banks (Deutsche Bank, DekaBank). Since 2014, he has been active as a commercial managing director, particularly in specialty plant engineering companies. Since its founding in 2019, he has been managing director of nascit GmbH.
