Thomas Thym

Site Manager BMW Group Plant Landshut | BMW Group AG

Thomas Thym was born on 5 November 1971 in Munich (Germany). After graduating from high school in Kelheim, he studied mechanical engineering at Regensburg University of Applied Sciences. During his studies, Thym first became acquainted with BMW AG at the Regensburg plant in 1994 as part of an internship. He joined the company permanently in 1997 and worked at various locations in vehicle assembly and purchasing. From 2013, he worked in the Purchasing and Supplier Network department as a main department head in various functions before being appointed site manager of the BMW Group's Landshut plant and head of the light metal foundry in December 2023.
